Warm Wishes

Hi there! Tonight I have a card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketches challenge.

I thought the sketch was so fun and it inspired me to use the new MFT Hot Cocoa Cups dies. I cut my panels and die cut all my pieces. I used a snowflake embossing folder to emboss the background of the white panel and I stamped the red panel behind the circle with a diagonal stripes background stamp. I stamped sprinkles on the whipped cream and by the bottom of the cup and then stamped my sentiment. I adhered everything to a white card base.

My Supplies:
Stamps: MFT LLD Hug In a Mug, MFT BG Bold Diagonal Stripes Background
Dies: MFT LLD Hot Cocoa Cups, MFT Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax, MFT Let it Snowflake, MFT Die-namics Circle Stax
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy, PTI True Black
Paper: PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Dark Chocolate, PTI Stamper's Select White

Thank you so much for coming by! I hope everyone who celebrates has a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!

Papertrey Ink November 2015 Blog Hop

Hi there! When I first saw the inspiration photo for this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop I knew I would be participating. Everything about it is gorgeous!

Blog Hop Inspiration

I took inspiration from the white and teals and used some of this month's new products. I die cut all my pieces and cut a panel a little smaller than the Winter Woods cover plate for a background. I blended some Aqua Mist ink onto the panel and stamped some snowflakes in Hawaiian Shores. I stamped all of my die cuts, decided on placement, and adhered everything to a white card base.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Winter Woods, PTI Fab Flakes
Dies: PTI Winter Woods & Cover Plate, PTI Fab Flakes
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist, PTI Hawaiian Shores, PTI Tropical Teal, PTI Stormy Sea
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select White

Thank you so much for coming by! I can't wait to see everyone else's projects!

Blue & White Snowflakes

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Hi there! Today I have a card I made for this week's Merry Monday and City Crafter challenges.

I took the colors and texture from Merry Monday and incorporated the snow queen theme from City Crafter by using snowflakes.

I began by cutting panels and die cutting the snowflakes. I used a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder to emboss the background, stamped the snowflakes, and stamped the sentiment on the smaller panel. I then adhered everything to a white card front.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Christmas Cheer, PTI Fab Flakes
Dies: PTI Fab Flakes
Ink: PTI Enchanted Evening, PTI Blueberry Sky, PTI Spring Rain
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select White

Thank you for coming by!

Birthday Wishes

Friday, November 20, 2015

Hi there! For my second post today I made a card for Freshly Made Sketches.

I was super excited about this week's sketch because I just got a new paper pad from Michael's and I thought it would go great with a new PTI stamp set. I die cut and trimmed all my pieces and stamped the bird and the sentiment. This card evolved as I was making it because originally I just had the bird on the branch and I felt like it was too plain. First I die cut the tree and added it to the left side. That grounded the branch but it still needed something so I grabbed another new stamp set and stamped a few snowflakes. I love the way it turned out.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Winter Woods, PTI Fab Flakes
Dies: PTI Winter Woods, MFT Die-namics Blueprint 13
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy, PTI True Black
Paper: PTI Soft Stone, PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Stamper's Select White, DCWV Cranberry Christmas

Thank you for coming by! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Sharing Kindness with Water Coloring & No Stamping

Saturday, November 14, 2015

Hi there! I made a card with three different challenges in mind. The first is this week's PTI Make It Monday using cover plates to water color, the second is this week's CCCB challenge Dye It with no stamping (this was very hard for me), and Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge Week 2: Community.

I started out by water coloring a white panel using a die cut from PTI's Vertical Chevron Cover Plate with Aqua Mist Ink. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it so I checked out some other challenges and decided I would make a thank you card for my mail lady. She's pretty awesome and super sweet the times I have gotten to speak to her. I also decided to step out of my comfort zone and do this week's City Crafter Challenge. I usually always stamp something whether it be just part of a sentiment or the main focal point of my card. I wanted so badly to stamp a second part of the sentiment underneath it on the vellum. With all of this in mind, I went for a layered look and cut two panels that I offset behind the water color panel after I trimmed it down. I cut a piece of vellum and die cut the "thanks" sentiment and adhered them to the water color panel. I, then, adhered everything to the card front and added a few sequins.

My Supplies:
Dies: PTI Vertical Chevron Cover Plate, PTI Wet Paint
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist
Paper: PTI Smokey Shadow, PTI Sheer Basics Vellum Patterned Paper, PTI Stamper's Select White

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have an awesome weekend!

CASology Guest Designer Give

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Hi there! Today I am thrilled to be the guest designer at CASology for winning the Heart challenge!

I absolutely love the cue word for this week!

The minute I read Melissa's email with the cue word I knew exactly which sentiment I wanted to use. I had some orange inked leaves laying on my desk but I wanted a more subtle look so I blended some Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides on a piece of white card stock. I die cut the leaves and the stitched flag banner that I stamped the sentiment onto. I cut down a piece of white card stock for a background panel that I embossed with a leaf embossing folder. I adhered everything together and to finish I added a button with a piece of twine tied in a bow. I really enjoyed having this opportunity!!

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Scripted
Dies: PTI Keep It Simple, PTI Leaf Silhouettes
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist, PTI Ocean Tides
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select White
Accessories: Sizzix Fall Set Embossing Folder

Thank you so much for coming by! I hope you have a great day!
